History and Development of Colenbrander
Colenbrander and Associates was formed. The company was made up of 12 staff members and ran from offices at 288 Loop Street. From day one, Colenbrander has been a SAICA training office. We started with 3 trainees and today have 35. Some of our original staff members who are still with us are; Steve Colenbrander, Kim Metcalf, Matthew Black and Melanie Sanders.
The company was enjoying steady growth and expanded into the adjacent office building.
Colenbrander and Associates moved to premises at Victoria Centre in Victoria Road. The staff complement had grown to 30 and we quickly outgrew the top floor and expanded into other parts of the building.
On 13 January 2006, the company name was changed to Colenbrander Inc.
Gary Banfield joined and was appointed as a director.
Colenbrander became a SAIPA training office.
Genevieve Chubb joined and was appointed as a director.
The company moved to 28 Hilton Avenue, our current premises, with 85 staff.
Matthew Black, Heather Gouweloos and Richard Lawrence were appointed as directors.
Ernest Pretorius was appointed as a director. Colenbrander now has over 100 employees.
